Your First 30 Days

A rough map of what the opening month of an engagement looks like.

The first month sets the tone for the whole engagement. Here's a rough map of how it typically unfolds. Every project is different, so treat this as the shape of things rather than a fixed schedule.

Week 1: Kickoff and alignment

We start by getting on the same page, goals, scope, timeline, and who owns what on both sides. This is also when we set the working rhythm: how often we'll check in, how you'll request work, and what response times to expect. By the end of the first week, you should know exactly what we're doing and why.

Week 1-2: Access and setup

In parallel, we get the practical plumbing in place. That means access to HubSpot at the right permission level, connecting your email, domains, and calendar, and getting eyes on the data we'll be working with. We've written step-by-step guides for each of these so it's painless. The faster access comes together, the faster real work begins.

Week 2-3: Digging in

With access and alignment in place, the real work starts. Depending on your engagement, that might be mapping processes, auditing data, or beginning the build itself. You'll see us working in a steady rhythm, and you'll never have to wonder what's happening, our check-ins keep the work visible.

Week 3-4: First visible progress

By the end of the first month, you should be able to see and touch real progress, not just hear about it. Exactly what that looks like depends on the project, but the goal is the same: tangible momentum you can point to, and a clear line of sight to what's next.

What makes the first 30 days go well

The single biggest factor is responsiveness on the practical items, access, answers, and decisions. When those come quickly, the opening month builds real momentum. When they lag, everything downstream waits on them. The setup articles in this section exist to make your part of that as fast and clear as possible.
