How do I find a contact, company, or deal?
Two ways to get to the record you need.
The fastest way is the search at the top of HubSpot — start typing a name, email, company, or deal and it surfaces matching records. For a group rather than one record, open the contacts, companies, or deals area and use filters.
- Quick search — best when you know who or what you want. Type a name, email, phone number, or company and pick from the results.
- Filtered views — best when you want a set, like "my open deals" or "contacts in a certain city." Open the object and add filters to narrow the list.
If you run the same search over and over, save it as a view so it's one click next time (see "How do I save a filtered view of my records?").
Can't find a record you expect to exist? It may be owned by someone else or outside what your access shows — check with your internal admin.
