Preparing for Kickoff

A little prep makes the first session count.

Kickoff sets the direction for the whole engagement. A little prep beforehand means we spend the session deciding, not gathering.

Before the call, have ready:

  • The people who matter. Whoever owns the process we're building for should be in the room — they know where the bodies are buried.
  • Your goals in plain terms. What does "working" look like six months from now?
  • What exists today. Any current documentation, a list of the tools you use, and who owns each.
  • Known pain points. The things that break, the reports you can't trust, the steps everyone dreads.

What we'll cover

We confirm scope and success criteria, agree on the operating rhythm, line up access, and name who's responsible for what. You'll leave knowing exactly what happens next.
