Stage 2: The Process Assessment
How the work actually gets done.
The Process Assessment is where the paid ladder begins. Its job is to surface what's really happening inside your operation — including the process that lives in people's heads and was never written down.
The question it answers
How does the work actually get done — and what's the tribal knowledge no one has documented?
How we capture it
We work in two modes that feed one knowledge base:
- Structured capture — deliberate documentation from working sessions and walk-throughs, written to convert straight into SOPs and system-design inputs. This is the how and why.
- Ambient capture — the operational exhaust (email, meetings, calendar, CRM activity) captured as your team simply does its job. This is the what actually happens.
This stage gathers the information — the doers know what's broken even when they don't know the fix. A facilitated working session is the usual kickstart.
What you get
Process documentation and workflow capture — a seeded knowledge base of how your business really runs. That becomes the input for Stage 3 — the OS Analysis.
